These terms are the deal between you and Domova when you use the Domova app and domova.app. "Domova", "we" and "us" means Noah Ross-Grundmann, trading as Domova. By making an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Domova.
Domova is in beta
Domova is in beta on TestFlight and it's free while it's in beta. Features will change, some may come and go, and you might hit bugs. If we start charging, we'll tell you first, anything paid will go through Apple, and you won't be charged unless you say yes.
Your account
- You need to be 18 or older to use Domova.
- Keep your sign-in email secure. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- Don't pretend to be someone else.
- You can delete your account any time: go to You → Delete account. You'll need to be all square with housemates first. The privacy policy says what's deleted and what stays with your house.
Your house
- Everyone in your house sees what's shared with it: shared recipes, lists, the meal plan, the fridge, house jobs, bills and expenses, plus your PayID and bank details if you add them.
- Anyone with your house's invite code or link can join, so only share it with people you live with.
- If you leave or delete your account, what you shared stays with the house.
Money
- Domova never moves money. It works out who owes who from what people put in, and you pay each other outside Domova, in your own bank app.
- The numbers are only as right as what's entered, so check before you pay. Sort out disagreements between yourselves.
- We aren't part of any arrangement between housemates (rent, bills or bond), and nothing in Domova is financial advice.
Food
- The days left on fridge items are rough guesses, not food safety advice. Check the label and use your own judgement before you eat something.
- The same goes for recipes: check for allergens and cook food properly.
What you put in
- What you add is yours. You let us store it, show it to your house, and process it to run Domova, including sending a recipe to Claude when you import one. We don't use it for anything else.
- Recipe reading uses Claude, an AI from Anthropic, and only after you've said yes. AI can get things wrong, so check the ingredients and steps before you save.
- Import recipes for your own household. Imported recipes keep a note of where they came from. Respect the sites and books you import from, and don't use Domova to republish them.
Don't
- Break the law, or put in anything illegal, abusive or hateful.
- Harass your housemates.
- Try to get into another house's data, overload Domova, or copy it with automated tools.
We can suspend or close accounts that do these things, and where we can, we'll tell you why.
Our part
- We'll try to keep Domova running and your data safe, but it's in beta and there will be downtime.
- Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Beyond those rights, Domova is provided as it is. We aren't liable for indirect loss, like food that went off, a missed bill or a disagreement between housemates.
Apple
If you got Domova through the App Store or TestFlight, Apple's standard licence terms apply as well. Apple isn't responsible for Domova or its support.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or on this page before the change applies. The date at the top shows the latest version.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
